#Repost @alastair.macaulay ・・・ 2: This photograph of the Mark Morris Dance Group’s Lesley Garrison, by Nina Westervelt, will probably appear in tomorrow’s print edition of the “New York Times” (accompanying my review) with an incorrect caption. When first published, the caption identified Garrison as dancing here in “Love Song Waltzes”; many of you will know at once that she’s seen here in “I Don’t Want to Love” on the same Mostly Mozart program at the Rose Theatre. (The white dress is one of Isaac Mizrahi’s costumes.) I only saw the review after 6pm - far too late to effect a correction for the print edition, but hurrah! already (7pm) they’ve corrected the on-line version. It’s worth adding that Garrison, outstanding for several reasons among the company’s women, is deepening her spell, with an intensely affective quality that’s rare anywhere. Friday 10 August.
